While waiting for the replacement battery I ordered from OSTENT, I dabbled yet again into inserting movies and music videos on my PSP Go. One user on reddit provided the best settings, and holy hell it works like a charm. I also wanted a mini device to watch stuff on when my phone battery is low and when I am not in the mood to play games (my main phone's battery health is like at 80% at this point, so is the sickness of modern phones)
The PSP in general was really ahead of its time in terms of multimedia usage. Was planning to put music on it as well, but the battery life is pretty bad as it is even on stock, so my iPod nano shall take care of that.
Added Umamusume Pretty Derby: Beginning of a New Era, and it looks hella good, including the burnt in subtitles. Handbrake is really one of the best video conversion softwares built by man.
Hmm... what else? Also got to resolve the issue with my 2DS self-ejecting the SD Card, turns out the card adaptor was just dirty.
Anyways, just wanted to blurt that out here. The nature of my work + my friends generally not being interested in this as me made me lonely in this hobby, so it's better to just shout these in the void.

PSP had no reason to do everything it could do good also for the battery issue on music use hold+ plugin it drastically extends the battery life
thanks for the tip on hold plus, I'll look into it. Just installed the new battery which I assume is from Ostent, hoping it lasts at least 3 hours lol

I got a psp 3000 im thinking about modding, but I like having to use UMD discs
Nothing beats physical at the end of the day. Though depending on the nature of your mod, you can still retain the UMD functions as well as having a modded unit. What mod are you planning?

ark4 from what i've seen is the nicest
But its not about still being able to use the UMD's, its the fact that when I have everything you start to appreciate things less. I like not having every single game on my PsP since it makes me love the ones I have right now way more.
And if I really want a specific game I can emulate it, but it's not the same as the original console so thats why i've been thinking about modding it

Yeah I get that with regards to when you get everything, you feel less appreciative of it, choice paralysis is hard. Applying that mindset as well. Nuked a lot of the PSP games that came with mine as it was second hand.

If I mod it I will for sure install way too many games and then never finish any of them man
I think i'll take the L and emulate it even tho its slightly worse
