okay so why did NOBODY warn me that liking your guy best friend is literally the most inconvenient thing ever.
because tell me why i wake up one day and suddenly i’m overanalyzing EVERYTHING you do. like why am i thinking about the tone of your messages. why do i notice when you reply faster. why does a selfie send me into a full mental spiral. this was NOT part of the friendship contract.
and the worst part is you’re just… you. being normal. being chill. being funny without even trying. meanwhile i’m over here pretending i’m not smiling at my phone like an idiot. like relax girl this is your FRIEND. except it doesn’t feel like just that anymore and i hate that i noticed.
and i swear it’s the small things. the dumb conversations. the random late night messages. the way we talk about literally nothing for hours. the way you trust me. the way i feel comfortable around you. that’s what gets me. because how am i not supposed to catch feelings when you feel like home.
and now i’m stuck in this weird place where i don’t want to say anything because what if it ruins everything. what if i say something and suddenly the friendship feels awkward or different or distant. i’d rather like you quietly than risk losing you completely. but also keeping it to myself is actually killing me a little.
so yeah. this is me admitting it to the void. i like my guy best friend. and it’s scary and annoying and stupid and also kinda nice. and i don’t know what’s gna happen. but for now i’ll just keep yapping in my head and pretending i’m fine.

Girl this is so real, I went through the same thing four years ago with my best friend. I told her I liked her, and it was mutual! So we became girlfriends, we were together for a year, and when we broke up we became three times closer than we were before !! (don't try this lol)

ya gotta tell the guy you like him more than usual, be open to not being in a rs if you want to preserve the friendship part more but you should definetly let the guy know you are a tad bit more attached to him than usual, im sure as hell he would be very accepting of that and mindful of it as well,
plus its a guy you always have like a 97% success rate with asking a guy out so loll

I think the regret of not doing something is usually greater than the regret of doing something. Plus the what ifs and could've-should'ves are too hard to bear. Life is too short to hide feelings. girl this is how the best relationships start, you realize that the guy youre around is actually like nice and cool. Its honestly better than dating via tinder or whatever because it comes naturally. Theres a chance broski cpuld not be intrested but at the same time, its probably worth that chance. Would you regret it if you didnt say something. J smthn to think about lol.

I ended up dating my guy best friend.
If he feels comfortable around you, he obviously feels something for you. You attract him somehow :). Pay attention:
-How much he smiles around you
-How often he contacts/ reaches out to you
-How he looks at you
-how he acts around other girls: is it the same or different?
-how often he asks to hang out with you
If he does these things ALOT, he likes you.
