So what do I mean by important character? It has to be a character that has an important role in the main story, they could be party members, main villains or even velvet room attendants. Important characters do NOT include a majority of social links though, they have to be linked with the main story of the games. List will also not include any phantom x characters because I fucking despise that game. Palace bosses from P5 (except a few) are also not going to be included

#57: Caroline & Justine (Persona 5)

Caroline and Justine from P5 are by far my absolute least favourite characters from anything ever. They treat Ren so shit for existing and I don't like them and they're icky and I hate them so so so so much. They are by far the worst part of Persona 5 and I wish death upon them daily. Also I don't know why the image is so small, i have no idea how to change their sizes on blogs

#56: Lavenza (Persona 5)

I don't dislike her to nearly the same degree as Caroline and Justine, but still I think she's a much more boring version of the twins. I feel the biggest indifference to this character which is better than outright hating but it's still not absolutely fabulous

#55: Pharos (Persona 3)

Pharos is such a weird guy and I don't like him. He just shows up by your bed in the middle of the night and just starts going on about some the world is gonna fucking end bullshit. I'm glad he just fucking dissapears halfway through the game and grows the fuck up and becomes my goat RYOJIIIIII. Overall he's just weird and cryptic and I'm not a great fan of him.

#54: Jin Shirato (Persona 3)

Jin is probably my absolute least favorite villain in the series. He's nowhere near as gripping to me as characters like Takaya and Chidori who he shares a lot of his scenes with. He's just overshadowed so much by so many better characters in his own game and even compared to villains from the other games he still just leaves a lot to be desired. I do think his death scene is awesome though

#53: Theodore (Persona 3 Portable)

This is the point where I start liking the characters more and more. For Theo specifically I haven't played enough of P3P to really form a proper opinion on the character, so this ruling is based mostly off of his design. I'm pretty sure he's a much different character to his sister Elizabeth so I'm ranking him here instead of lumping the two together here

#52: Ken Amada (Persona 3)

Not looking good for P3 so far as a majority of the bottom is chock full of characters from the game, including my least favourite main party member. I've never been crazy about this actual fucking infant but I do think he has some good moments and a lot of his interactions with Shinjiro are really cute, until Ken of course does some silly stuff with Shinji. I don't dislike the character but he's never really captured me in the same way every other party member has

#51: Shuji Ikutsuki (Persona 3)

At first I really liked Shuji, I thought he was gonna be the father character like Dojima and Sojiro are in the earlier games and really found his corny sense of humor endearing. This all completely changed halfway through the game where he's just revealed to be evil and kills Mitsuru's dad... No build up, not even a hint and suddenly he's just embracing the end. His entire plan was to make SEES kill all the really strong shadows so Nyx could rise up or some shit I don't know I was barely listening at this part of the game. Those final moments really ruined such a fun character for me

#50: Morgana (Persona 5)

I am one of the biggest morgana apologists on planet earth and I do think he does get slightly too much hate, but still he's so FUCKING ANNOYING. He can be such an asshole for half the game but he is really freaking cute so he gets a pass. I'm sure if you've been in the Persona community for long enough you'll know why people hate him and I do get it, but also I do think he's just really cute and I love a lot of his in battle animations and using him in battle can be super fun

#49: Metis (Persona 3 FES)

I haven't played the Answer or Episode Aigis so my knowledge of what Metis is is very surface level. I know she's meant to be sort of a sister figure to Aigis and in the story she's supposed to be Aigis' emotions after she discards them at the end of the main story. I haven't experienced enough of her to make a decision but I think her design is absolutely awesome which singlehandedly puts her above Morgana

#48: Masayoshi Shido (Persona 5)

I hate this guy so much, but I do think that's meant to be the point since he's the main villain for a majority of Persona 5. He's meant to represent everything the Phantom Thieves are fighting against and he does it so well. I hate you so much Shido and that makes me love you so much

#47: Izanami (Persona 4)

Truth be told I've never really finished P4 in the past so I've never actually fought this boss before but i think the design she takes on while you're fighting her is super freaking cool. I can't really judge her since I know nothing about her other than some vague knowledge about a connection to Marie but she's cool so she gets a past

#46: Sophia (Persona 5 Strikers)

Yes I'm counting strikers characters even though I haven't played the game. Sophia generally has a really cute design and I like that, but whenever I see her I just can't help compare her to Futaba for some reason. They're both tech related redheads from Persona 5 but that's really where the similarities end. She's the 4th robot girl in the series, following Aigis, Metis and Labrys and she's the only one to not be an anti shadow suppressant. I do like the uniqueness compared to the other robot girls but still another one was not needed

#45: Zenkichi Hasegawa (Persona 5 Strikers)

This placement is carried purely by his metaverse fit, I truly know nothing about this guy it's crazy how in the dark I am about this character

#44: Takaya Sakaki (Persona 3)

I honestly kinda love evil Jesus. If he didn't kill Shinjiro he'd definitely be way higher up on this list, but he did pull the trigger so that keeps him down a lot

#43: Margaret (Persona 4)

Margaret is definitely in the middle when it comes to the Velvet Room attendants. She's nowhere near as bad as Caroline and Justine but she just doesn't cut it when you compare her to characters like Marie and Elizabeth in my opinion. I think she's fine and has some great moments, like the manwhore scene in the anime, but I just don't enjoy Margaret as a character as much as the other two.

#42: Fuuka Yamagishi (Persona 3)

This is probably my most controversial opinion in the whole of this ranking, but I truly do not care for Fuuka in the way most other fans do. I do think she's cute and her cooking skills do make her decently charming, but I feel like she's just one of the most boring main party members in the game. I've got nothing to really base this off but I'm just nowhere near as crazy for Fuuka as I am for any of the other party members

#41: Yaldabaoth (Persona 5)

The final boss of the original Persona 5 skips leg day. Yaldabaoth is posing for the goat Igor the entirety of the main story and that's just not on! His design is tuff as shit but still how dare you impersonate the persona fusion goat

#40: Teddie (Persona 4)

Teddie is perhaps the character I love and hate the most. He's so fucking annoying but he can be very funny at times. He'll forever be the character I sometimes despise but sometimes absolutely love depending on the situation in game.

#39: Yukiko Amagi (Persona 4)

Yukiko is one of the characters I am of course very neutral towards. She has quite a few positives, those being she's really cunty, her shadow is funny and she is comically broken late game. Still the fandom has made that one meme about "I'm so happy you're my first boyfriend, Jamal-Kun" really popular and that kinda makes me like Yukiko a bit less. She has one of the blandest personalities in the investigation team but I love her whole relationship with Chie as well...

#38: Marie (Persona 4)

It's everybody's favourite Izanami lite, Marie! This placing is carried purely by her design which is possibly my favourite in the entire series. She's super cute and I love shipping her with Yu and oh my gosh she's so awesome (Is it obvious I haven't finished P4 yet?)

#37: Sho Minazuki (Persona 4 Arena)

Sho is just the biggest aura farmer possibly ever because what do you mean he fucking rejected the wild card contract. This guy has a sad backstory and also he's just... look at him man he's so fucking cool... That design and that choice of weapons and his Persona oh my god this guy is SO FUCKING COOL. I still haven't played P4AU and that soul fact is keeping him at this spot, but I bet if I did he'd be in the top 10

#36: Labrys (Persona 4 Arena)

I think a lot of what I just said for Sho applies to Labrys, like she's Aigis with a New Yorker accent what's there not to love. She's only higher because I like robots and her axe is really freaking cool

#35: Ryotaro Dojima (Persona 4)

Dojima is just a great dad character. I do think it's kinda sad Nanako kinda has to raise herself because of how much this guy has to work, seeing as he's a whole ass detective and shit. Great vegetables.
