spinosaurus rant

okay guys ive been very interested in dinosaurs so okie info about spinosaurus is like they're around 14-18 meters long and then they weigh around 7.5 tons and around 95 million years old. And rn we know that spinosaurus had short legs and spent a lot of its time in and around water and like it had paddle like kinda tail, but from the info i got we dont know if it swam a lot or mostly lived on the shoreline, and then from the shape of the jaw we can tell that it fed on fish but it mightve ate other dinosaurs too. It had a narrow snout and a distinctive notch near the front of its jaws that would be very effective at trapping fish. There's a lot of theories about the sail on it's back like it may have helped to regulate it's body temperature or it couldve helped to propel the dinosaur through water and some scientists have speculated that spinosaurus' had a thick, fleshy hump rather than a thin sail but the thin sail is most likely. They lived between 99 and 93.5 million years ago in the late cretaceous period and so then its North African habitat consisted of tidal flats and mangrove forests and the hottest time of year would bring long droughts, which caused many lakes and rivers and stuff to dry up and so that mightve made the spinosaurus sometimes act like a land predator. And some reconstructions of spinosaurus show it walking on all fours but a lot of scientists believe that it was able to walk on two legs but we dont know who's right without more studies and discoveries okie bye yall i was yapping so info mighttttt not be all correct and i was only on two sources for this so yeah okie dokie bye enjoy the rant !!
