Hi and also mountain

I love road trips and mountains and forests and the cold but sadly I am in Texas

SO I decided to plan a trip to drive 12 hours to the tallest mountain in New Mexico and try to summit it, I got a bunch of gear that I don't really understand too well but I have time to learn how to use it in a week, theres gonna be snow and its gonna be cold which I'm really really excited about its gonna be my first mountain over 4000m tall, it was really hard to get someone to go with me but I got someone even though I'm not super close with him since he betrayed me a while back over 400$ but I mean I couldn't go alone so. Last time I did Guadalupe Peak which was shorter and also a long drive like 9 hours but about the same length of trail and elevation gain so hopefully I do good, wish me luck and also give me tips if u can pls I'll show people how it is up top if I get there
