Poetry Blog #3

Warm your hands on my heart,

And feel the soothe of the march,

Let my fragile hums sing you out from your wake,

Like horns of cavalry, declaring loyalty to the kingdoms followed,

For when the dawning sky gently guides your eyes to mine,

Shall we lose ourselves in trancing gaze,

Hark,

And let rise,

To my drumming love against your chilling palms,

And wipe the face of the tearless cries,

Today's poem is about a simple acts of love from one to another. Now, when I write, I like to keep the speaker or whatever figure saying these words ambiguous, but in this case, I specifically had the image of a MAN giving this speech. WHOAH!!! It's just, I love the idea on a man with a strong heart.

Anyway, yeah, I think I try to write whatever emotion comes to me, and I know I haven't posted most of my other works but I noticed that I write a lot about love. But, not like "sexy" love, it's more like, companionship or the kind of love you'd have for a friend or family member. Except this one. This one is totally about a married couple.

Also, I learned the word "Hark" (meaning: to listen) from the movie "The Lighthouse" which is an amazing story and script (which you should totally read) that is a mix between theatrical and grounded dialogue.

Anywho, thanks for reading my rambles. Leave a comment on what you think, maybe?

Sorry for the delay, I'm just about to start my spring collage classes so I've been swamped all month.
