What do you guys think so far of the upcoming black metal LP "Necropalace" by Worm?
In case you've never heard of them - a pretty cool bunch from Florida, they already have a few very solid pieces in their repertoire, such as FOREVERGLADE. One of the best, filthiest, ugliest death/doom albums I've heard. Absolute must listen.
Back to their newest thing tho - the two singles, Blackheart and Necropalace... Oh boy they are fucking flawless. And the cover artwork makes me fkin h*rny by how good it looks - beautiful oldschool airbrush work, just like back in the 80s and 90s... YES SIRRRR
So kids, stop listening to some cringe AI generated Draugveil bullshit (a cheap Kekth Arakh ripoff, smh be original at least). GO LISTEN TO FUCKING NECROMANTIC WORM!!!!! You don't know what to do with your time anyway :D

necropalace by worm is so good the vocals are fucking incredible it feels like i’m listening to someone chanting a curse at me the sound of the incantation is chilling yet there’s still a strange beauty in the words and i already love doom metal i even went and looked up the lyrics they really resonated with me how did i not know this band sooner? the guitar riffs are amazing too, and the atmosphere of the music video is just as good dark, ritualistic, mysterious, and historical
and another thing aigenerated music i hate it so much it feels like a devaluation of humanity, of artists and musicians people can use ai to help with some things but it should not be used for everything especially generative ai using it to generate music or artwork is basically copying other people’s work ai often steals pieces of many people’s creations and mixes them together and generates something for you i don’t support that at all it devalues and insults the skills and efforts of musicians, artists, and creators some people think it’s cool and use it anyway and that really makes me sad especially when it involves bands i love
try to imagine this you spend years practicing an instrument, singing, drawing, or creating something only for someone to use ai to copy your work without you even knowing do you know how long it takes to create a single song or a piece of art? weeks, months, years they put in their own effort, their own skills, their own goals and intentions but then someone just types a prompt into ai and gets something generated in less than an hour sometimes 20 minutes, 10 minutes, or even just 5 minutes what ai does is copy other people’s work automatically devaluing their talent and intent many older people don’t really realize this but honestly age doesn’t matter everyone should be aware of it i want people to wake up to this ai is destroying art and humanity and it doesn’t only affect art it also affects our brains if we rely on ai too much
i’m saying all this because i truly love music and music is my life
