Sometimes I wonder why people name things the way we know them now. Like butterflies, why are they named butterflies? I was thinking about that word, and the first image that came to my mind were literal flies made of butter.

Ppl believed in past where Witches turn to butterflies and steal dairies like butter.
For real? Seems oddly true for some reason tho. English is not my main language so I didn't know that
