CAT SOCKS 2.0 !!!!!!!!!

these socks were SO much easier to make overall. it was so much less, if any, fiddling trying to get shit placed right. i have no idea why i didnt just use fabric paint to begin with. ToT










i started by putting the socks ON for better reference of where to place the paw pads, and with a chalk marker i traced where the pink fabric paint should go !! i used chalk marker because it comes out with water !! :^D










i then put some cardboard inside the socks, that way if any paint seeped through the fabric, the sock wouldnt fuse to itself. and it was already ready for painting !! this whole preparation step took me like 10 minutes, maaaybe 15.

cutting out all the felt pieces for cat socks 1.0 took me like 30. AGAIN, WHYYYY DIDNT I THINK OF FABRIC PAINT SOONER ?? i was legit USING it to paint over the logo on the top of the damn socks. ToT










this was after the first coat !! it was pretty weird using puffy fabric paint cuz you just squeeze it from the bottle instead of like painting it on, but i got the hang of it really fast.










this was after it dried. as you can tell, pretty splotchy. 










this was after a second coat !! muuch better !! :^3









after that i painted over the logo on the top of the socks with black fabric paint, just like i did the last time !! (no photo because you already saw that last time and its boring)

again, its super hard to take photos of your fucking FEET WITHOUT it looking like it belongs on a footfetish site, this is the finished product !!! ignore the random carpet fuzzies stuck to me. ToT
but eeek theyre soo cute and took SO MUCH LESS EFFORT TO MAKE.
cat socks 1.0 are still needing resewed because of placement. 
half of the time it took to make these socks was just waiting 4 hours in between each coat of paint becuz thats how long it takes fabric paint to dry ToT

i still need to wash em to get the chalk marker off, but ya gotta wait 72 HOURS before you can wash em. 💔💔



but yay thats all !!! much shorter of a blog just because these were SO much easier to make :^3 YAY !!!!!
also, because its PAINT, the socks make this really cute little thonk sound against the ground. its AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!
