Ableton - Trying to make a Jungle beat

I’ve been attempting to make a Jungle beat like one of those old ps1 jungle beats. I’m very new to Ableton and making music as a whole. I’ve made a silent hill/horror type ambient beat. With this current project I feel like I am getting the grasp of it but i’m missing something. I believe and I need to do this but I need to watch a video on music theory because for the most part it’s been so hard to try and write a melody. 

I’ll work on it soon I just got back from break. Sometime this week but I also want to try some more simpler stuff just like ambient, it seems simpler to me just to get more familiar with writing melodies, Ableton and making music as a whole. Kind of at a crossroads right now but I don’t want to fully abandon it.
