emo music revival 2k26

In light of everyone saying they want to bring back 2016 in 2026 and the sheer amount of boredom I experienced over the christmas holidays, I listened back to some of the emo classics I used to listen to circa 2016. Honestly, teenage me was kinda onto something bc so much of it was actually SO good. Especially getting back into MCR and fall out boy, we actually love to see it. I spent quite a few years borderline ashamed of my emo past and found that many of the songs would bring me back to some painful memories, but now I look a bit more fondly on that time of my life. The quote "to be cringe is to be free" rings so true to me. Now I genuinely think it's actually good music (at least most of it lol). 2026 = emo comeback year fr.
