Imagine that you have an attraction to something, but society is against it. You can either accept yourself or try to get rid of it (which is more difficult).

In the community of people with paraphilias, there are those who hate themselves because of their unusual attractions. Some people may start harming themselves. Society accepts LGBTQ+ better than paraphilias. People may reject you simply because of your paraphilia. 

If you have bad thoughts, try to distract yourself. You can also seek professional help. However, self-harm is never a solution. I have experienced this myself (for different reasons), and it is truly terrifying. It was difficult for me to stop. Now I have changed my mindset and stopped doing that. 

Paraphilia is normal, just like LGBTQ+ (but paraphilias are not included, but you can be a lesbian and a necro at the same time)
