I feel very often that people are concerned that they serve no purpose and that their life is meaningless, but why do you need to serve a purpose at all, when you were being born what told you that you are here to serve a purpose, nothing did, because you aren't, you weren't planned out like a machine to do a specific thing, you were born just because you were, you're simply the result of a million coincidences, you weren't put here to serve, you were put here to live

Why can't it be both? Some do have a greater purpose, some don't. Others have had their purpose tampered with or erased.
I think purpose can exist, but not in the same vain as your life serving a purpose. You can find something to pursue and that can be a purpose, but it is not the purpose you're alive. Purpose can be something to fill a part of your life, but it is not your life.
