SONIC GENERATIONS MINI-REVIEW
By Abby Doomsporker
☆☆☆☆★
This is one of the most beloved Sonic games for a reason. This game did nostalgia better than Mania even, in my opinion. It truly is a celebration of what made the prior games great. I will say, the classic stages, which take up about half the run time, are a bit scuffed. That's this games biggest flaw in my opinion, is that the other gameplay style is very poorly designed.
Twice the Sonic!
The actual levels are good, those aren't the
problem, it's just that Classic Sonic does not feel like... classic
Sonic. He feels like, I dunno, like, Sonic Chaos? No no no, I'm just
kidding. But like, why does Classic Sonic control like such ass. The
Modern Sonic stages are the real event. That's where you'll get the most
enjoyment. It's got it better than Unleashed though, with that games
whole 75% of the game being Werehog gameplay. At least Classic Sonic is
unambiguously Sonic. Anyway, this game is worth playing. Very special
game.
