You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will live as one

whole group of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no
one claimed private ownership of any possessions, but everything they
owned was held in common.Β With great power the apostles gave their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all.
Acts 4:32-33
This post is intended for those who have already seen the first season and as such, I am not going to introduce any of the plot. However reading this might spoil it for you if you have not seen it. If you have not seen it, I recommend viewing it before reading this post or indeed, anything else about it.
I watched a video explaining several different fan theories about the show Pluribus and what the alien signal is. All of them missed the mark for me. To me it seems obvious; the RNA sequence was created by pacifists trying
to create a utopia. The behaviour of those affected strongly reflects the morality of various pacifist, anarchist, and collectivist philosophies both religious and secular. We have pacifism here on earth, so of course extraterrestrials would come up with it too. I think what the show wants to us ask is this: what if we really could all just get along and work
together? Are you sure you really want that? Or perhaps the conflict and
chaos of being an individual is what makes life worth living, as in philosophies like those of Friedrich Nietzsche and Max Stirner?
What do you guys think the signal is, and what do you think the themes of the show are? I'm interested to know what other people are getting out of this series.
