Sit and really think about this for a second. Roman Reigns has TEN WrestleMania main events. Ten. Not matches- MAIN EVENTS.. And yet this company will still look you in the face and tell you John Cena is the unquestioned GOAT, or that Bron Breakker is already “the next guy,” like Roman hasn’t been THE guy for an entire decade. None of this actually makes sense when you slow down and look at the facts.

From at least early 2015 onward, Roman Reigns has been WWE’s guy. Not “one of” the guys. The guy. When Cena went part-time, Roman was the one carrying the “main event every single week” responsibility. He was the face of the company from 2014 through 2018, whether fans wanted to accept it or not. PPVs, TV, media, house shows, Roman was the constant.

Then the cancer comes back. He leaves. He returns. And instead of being protected as a once-in-a-generation star, they throw him right back into the same broken creative cycle. Forced babyface runs, tone-deaf booking, crowd rejection that WWE pretended was the fans’ fault instead of their own.

Fast forward to 2020 and Roman finally gets the heel turn we waited years for and suddenly it’s undeniable. He becomes THE most compelling character WWE has had in years. He carries the company through the pandemic era, holds the title for four years, main events WrestleMania after WrestleMania, and moves the needle in ways nobody else on the roster consistently does.

And yet… they still won’t treat him like what he clearly is.

Ten WrestleMania main events should make you untouchable. That should end all debates. Instead, WWE downplays it, rushes to crown “the next guy,” and retroactively props up Cena like Roman didn’t spend a decade doing the exact job Cena left behind.

Roman Reigns should be the biggest star in WWE history. The resume is there. The longevity is there. The drawing power is there. The moments are there. 

(The only thing missing is a company that actually knew how to book him correctly for most of his career.)
