EBIMAYO - MAXRAGE

i actually spent almost the whole day trying to pick out a song for today, only for it to be my girlfriend who picked today's song. (done just by shuffling my 175 hour playlist and picking the first song that played, but it works.)

this is a track by EBIMAYO, one of my favorite artists out there. nine out of my top ten songs from my 2025 spotify wrapped were by EBIMAYO, with "MAXRAGE" being in fifth place, so that's definitely telling. (my spotify wrapped is actually bit skewed because i listen to a lot of local files which don't count toward it, but the point still stands. i like EBIMAYO.)

overall, EBIMAYO creates many upbeat and high energy electronic songs, lots of which can be found in various rhythm games. my first exposure to EBIMAYO was through "GOODTEK" in the roblox rhythm games robeats!, which is a story in and of itself. but it wasn't until i picked up muse dash and played every EBIMAYO chart that i really fell in love. "MAXRAGE" is one of the EBIMAYO songs i like that actually isn't in muse dash, but one i would really like to see.

as for the song itself, it's one of the most fast-paced EBIMAYO songs in my playlists. while not fully speedcore, it does draw upon the genre's signature kickspamming, which is always fun. it also has these cool siren-like sounds which are what i consider to be it's identifying factor among other EBIMAYO tracks.

of course, it's not an EBIMAYO song without some classic samples, such as "play that beat!" before the kickspam and "now check this out!" before a little drop. the interesting thing to me is that "MAXRAGE" should be a remix of "GOODRAGE" in the same way that "HYBERBOUNCE" is a remix of "GOODBOUNCE." however, "MAXRAGE" is a very unique song, and, in my opinion, doesn't sound like "GOODRAGE" much at all. it doesn't even use (my personal favorite) samples from "GOODRAGE" such as the "make some noise!" or "right after the break!" of course, this isn't really a bad thing; just a confusing thing.

i'm happy to be writing an EBIMAYO entry so soon; there will be many more to come.
