Something Real

The way I see it, Don has evolved into a version of Jim Jones, and America has become a version of Jonestown. Eventually, White Nights will be blaring across your TV screens, and you'll reach for a cup of liquid that was mailed to your home from some federal agency that was created by Don for a specific purpose.

I'd like to remind everyone that the people of Jonestown were given several choices at the end of the day. "You can drink the poisoned Flavour Aid willingly. You can resist and we can inject it into you. Or, you can resist and attempt to run away, and we can therefore shoot you. You're dead in any case. Pick your poison." Lousy choices.

If anyone says, "Jonestown was more than 47 years ago and it can't happen here, or now," you're completely wrong. Don has the power to make it happen. However, since Jonestown was indeed a past event, it's up to us to learn from it and use the knowledge to fight even harder against a repeat outcome. It seems impossible, but it can be done.
