Week 1 in 🇲🇬 ₊˚⊹ᰔ [22/12 – 28/12]

wow, what a journey it was to get to my destination ! thank the stars for not being to get any sleep before i had to leave home at 5:30am – the all-nighter made it possible for me to fall asleep during the 11 hour flight (ㅅ´ ˘ `)

i don't know about you guys, but i'm never comfortable to fall asleep on a plane ...

and after 11 hours in the sky ? an additional hour on another flight, followed by an hour long ride !

it's all worth it though, because that way i could spend the holidays with my grandparents ! it is so nice to be back after 5 years :3

as for the daily life, this first week had been really relaxing. i'm away for the stress of uni, and life is pretty slow paced here, compared to how it is back at home. 

sometimes, we'll go out for some fresh produce, and pick up some snacks on the way. 

we're never in a rush to do anything, meals are ready when they need to be, and there isn't some kind of strict social schedule to follow, yet, surprisingly, my sleep is so much better here !

i thought i'd never be able to sleep properly with the heat, but most of the days, i fall asleep around 10pm, and even wake up refreshed, which hadn't been the case in months !!!

this week, we've been taking it easy. i'm here for a whole month, so there's no hurry for anything. i did get food poisoning though. im not sure wether that was the well water or the lobster bisque i spent the whole afternoon cooking ... (๑•́ -•̀) at least, i guess i've immortalised the culprit haha

anyway, im pretty sure that's it for this first week.
