I just finished my bsd rewatch and I wanna talk about the show cuz i love it sm

I love almost all of the characters and their dynamics with each other. All of the detective agency work so well together. All of the characters' motivations and goals are so well thought out. I don't think there's truly a combination of characters that i hated [except Junichiro and his sister but that's expected]. I love Dazai and Chuuyas rivalry. I love how even though Autegawa and Atsushi hate each other they still work so well together.

And the power system too. Some r a bit unbelievable on how they work but it's a fantasy so wtv. That's kind of a problem I have with a lot of anime. Characters will have a defined power but suddenly in a new episode they'll have a new ability that comes out of nowhere???

on this rewatch i made a list of scenes i liked so im gonna put that here and explain why i like them [a lot of them are just for the animation itself] [i started the list around season 3 so there's nothing from before then]

• Season 3 Ep 2 / ep 27; When Dazai kills the guy that attacked him and Chuuya:

• Something about Dazai's expression just perfectly shows his like mental state and it's also weirdly beautifully animated.

• Season 4 Ep 6 / Ep 43; the reveal of the ada being swapped and nikolai sawing himself in half 

• The first time I saw it the twist took me so off guard. Also the scene was just cool asf

• Season 4 Ep 8 / Ep 45; when Chuuya saves the ada by using his ability to shoot the bullets

• Just a cool scene and the line delivery of “you fucked up detective agency” was perfect. The colors are pretty too

• Season 5 ep 7 / Ep 57; Dazai dancing with sigma:

• The animation was so smooth and it's also just a funny scene. [i also just love their dynamic]

• Season 5 Ep 10 / Ep 60; the elevator scene with Dazai and Sigma:

• The colors and the animation are so pretty im always a sucker for the way they do fire in anime

• Season 5 Ep 10 / Ep 60; when Chuuya shoots Dazai in the head and the reveal on how he survived:

• The actual shot was so beautifully drawn. The way Dazai's dialogue got cut off was so jarring too. And the reveal omg. I think this scene really shows just how smart Dazai is. The fact he had it thought it out from the beginning.

I also LOVE the character design. This show is dangerous as a cosplayer cuz I wanna have all of their outfits. Especially Nikolai, Sigma, and Autegawa. A random thing i love is Atsushis belt thing resembling his tail, i think its so cute and it fits him so well

I think that's it. I really like this show and wanna read the manga. Maybe ill ask my mom if i can use my Christmas money to buy them [i would read them online but pirating lowkey scares me and all i have is my school laptop]
