The internet is boring now

I thought with a computer now i would have the 100% internet experience,with a computer you don't have to worry about having low battery or not being able to load any heavy game or loading a website with lots of decorations and gifs around, i thought i was invincible that now i would see all the web had to offer me,just to find out how hollow and empty it actually is and now i'm disapointed.

I heard too many interesting stories of the internet my whole life,yes i was a big dreamer and i really thought the internet was full of surprises and mysteries waithing to be solved, i thought the web was full of interesting and creepy websites, i thought 4chan was based because of the pranks and trolling they did back then that i thought they were cool,before years later finding myself on the site seeing how one guy is menacing the other with Raping their (n word) mom and sister,you don't know how dissapointed i was,( i know they always been like this but back then i didn't had idea),or those 4chan horror stories like the guy with the blue syringe,the crystals tutorial,and the guy who threw a granade in their toilet,now you see 4chan now and they fucking suck,they don't do anything, or the cool colorfull websites the web used to have and they were a BUNCH,does anyone remember that site called Seemerot.com?where you could watch in live a body slowly rotting?( i never been there but even if the site still existed right now i wouldn't go) there were many edgy and colorfull websites,now most of them gone because the owner didn't want to pay for it anymore or got deleted for x reason,how depresing.

As the time passed by we slowly lost all our whimsy so the internet did too now becoming more corporate and flat (fuck flat desing and corporate memphis)leaving nothing to discover,navegating the web dosen't exist anymore,now the internet dosen't feel ours and feels more owned by the corpos, everything became black and white,lonely and empty, there's not any internet cool stories or myths anymore,if your search for any internet mystery video all of them are of stories that ocurred years ago,you won't ever see something like cicada 3301 happen anymore, or anonymous actually doing something again, i remember when everyone used the anonymous mask on the streets or the theories surrounding them, those were good times when the internet was a safe place to express yourself without being censored instead of imprisioned like now.

We can go back to the old internet?,no, we can't, even if a mount of people pretended to be in the 2000's or 2010's nothing would change, while we live in our nostalgia bubble the rest of the world will remain the same,this would probably end up like "The great meme reset" all forgotten in a couple of weeks or days even,we can't live in a lie forever,even if EVERYONE tried the internet wouldn't change unless we get rid of those corpos off of the internet,but this is just a fantasy, you can't convince everyone to be in your side,some people wouldn't live a second without their dailly dose of dopamine their dear social media give to them.I'm not saying you are stupid for wanting to go back to a easy time were things weren't so compllicated, i want too, i hate ai and this times just like you but we can't live in a bubble of joy an nostalgia forever, i'ts impossible to reverse the internet now, it dosen't matter if you make one hundred 2000's themed websites or make a Roblox rant about a "great internet reset" on TikTok,nothing will change.

The internet is boring and we (sadly) can't stop it,but you know what you can do?,get a job.
