this is new

So. It's  December 31st, 2025. 

It'll be a new  year soon, so I figured I should pick up a new hobby with journaling. I can't see myself keeping this habit up because like with most hobbies, I usually abandon it the second life gets hectic or when I find a new hobby to hyperfixate on. 

That being said, I think this is something I'd like to try out. I'm curious too-- as to how more or less honest I might get when I'm actively writing down what I think or perceive. Cogito ergo sum, I suppose. 

This website was made to model after the more retro internet and I actually quite like that since it forces people to evaluate you purely on how you present yourself. Which. Yes, this applies to social media in general, but in my opinion, more so on 2000s sites. I feel like there's a degree of freedom where I can post whatever and whenever without the algorithm as opposed to something more curated like Instagram or even Facebook.

Well, since I've already written my first remarks on this site, might as well introduce myself. 

My name's Sunny, and I'm a highschool student (as of today anyways) living in the USA. I tend to write either formally or nonsensically the  second stress hits. I speak Chinese, English, and French fluently as languages, so please feel free to go with that (I will definitely understand you, but how I respond depends on how socially energized I'm feeling at the time). 

I'm not sure there's much to say about myself here, but perhaps I can share a bit more going forward. I don't really feel like cramming almost two decades of my lore in one journal entry.
