Hello, and welcome to my first blog post!~⊹ ࣪ ﹏𓊝﹏𓂁﹏⊹ ࣪ ˖
My name is Alice,(mid twenties), American woman, fashion enthusiast, and I happen to have a genetic connective tissue disorder that causes dislocations and other comorbidities. My husband (middle age) and I have started the process of packing our lives into a few suitcases, and flying with our cat to Thailand.
Last year my husband and I spent the whole month of November in Thailand getting to know the culture, enjoying the spicy food, and meeting the people. We were already debating moving abroad to save money, and get affordable healthcare. We spent this last year since our trip trying to figure out the logistics of moving overseas, specifically to Thailand. We've applied for visas, been rejected, and applied again. Finally, after much nervousness and hoop jumping, we've both had our visas approved. Now we start the process of looking for storage, lending our friend the car, looking for an apartment, and the over all logistics of getting us and our cat over there.
As someone who used to come home to my parents playing Nu metal on the stereo as they cleaned, both of them covered in tattoos, and my mom with pink streaks in her hair, I'd say that i grew up with parents who for all their shortcomings and toxicity, encouraged alternative fashions and lifestyles for my siblings and I, and boy did we deliver. So, given my upbringing I embraced things like Lolita fashion, Punk music and fashion, Goth music and fashion. As well as histories of how different fashions came into being, and what influenced and furthered them. I know its silly but I wanted to start documenting my life and love of fashion while I travel and start a new. I'm hoping to start a YouTube channel Vlog thing and documenting our trip, the adjustment to life in Thailand, fashion, and Life in general. I already got a cheap video camera, and a tripod and hope to start making "content" soon.
Thanks for reading!
