Hey there, internet explorer! Welcome to Internet Ashtray, a place where I talk about anything I want for anyone to read. My name is Wendii and here are today's thoughts:

Hey guys... Did you miss me? Heh... YES YES I know it's been a while but pipe down... we should all be happy about my return! Anyways, today's another post all about me, me, and me! Who the hell else would I be writing about?

Growing up, I never really enjoyed partying. Mainly because I would constantly be dragged to family parties that I never had any fun at. Whenever we arrived at the house it was being held at, I would just kind of rush towards their living room and stay on my phone until it was time to leave. I'm Mexican so usually I would be heading back home around 2AM. 

But this year, things really took a turn. Lord knows I've always appreciated music, but I would only ever really appreciate it with my ears.

How many other ways are there to appreciate music? With your ass?

Oh god... its you again, you never fail to start something... But I'll have you know they're are plenty of other ways to appreciate music! Like dance! Which I suppose yeah... that can include your ass at times.

But yes, today we're talking about my love for dancing! 

Whenever I hear that there's any kind of get together or plans to go somewhere that possibly has music, I PRAY that I'll get a chance to let loose and showcase my totally awesome dance moves. (Sarcasm)

I can't describe how absolutely freeing it is to let the music move me. How great it feels to have others looking at you smiling, possibly hyping you up. Being the center of attention for most as you dance harder and harder. 

But it's also nice seeing how people are being united by the music and seeing them let loose as well. It's fun to hype others up, AND IT'S WAY MORE FUN WHEN ITS TO MUSIC YOU LOVE!! 

You said things took a turn, are you going to explain how you went from a loser to a basic partygoer? 

You are just so rude sometimes... But yes! It happened on June 14, 2024. My mother was invited to a graduation party her coworker was throwing for his daughter. I was expecting this to just be a typical boring party that just happened to be held at a restaurant. And you know what... yeah at first it was just gonna be the same old story. I sit down and scroll on my phone until my parent's decide it's time to go home. 

But then while looking up at the people dancing on the dance floor my parents nudged me to get up and dance. Something in me just said fuck it. I took my sister up with me and we danced for a bit and oh my god. I don't know what was in the air that night but it felt amazing.

My theory was that I didn't have to worry about embarrassing myself in front of people I knew because most of the guests we're obviously family of my mom's coworker, but it's really anyone's guess.

That night, I couldn't step off the dance floor. I was literally the only one still dancing by the end of the night. (It helped that there was a really good DJ) 

That's it? I was expecting a cooler story...

Jesus Christ... never satisfied are you? SORRY to disappoint but it's what happened. Ever since then I've constantly been looking forward to the next party. 

Now that I think about it... I've only ever been sober while partying... I'm curious to know what it'd look like with a bit of alcohol in my system.
