someone i know, (waves at you nikon) asked me about new years resolutions. if i had any, particularly
i always found such a thing silly? what difference does it make that i set a goal on the start of a year? get to the goal NOW!
our time is a limited resource that we spend everyday with a balance that we don't know the amount of. why waste more of it for a goal that wasn't any more achievable because of the wait?
the spectacle, if anything, screws ya over. you think this'll "be the one" then, damn, something sets you back a bit and your bummed out. really bummed out if you're like me, and respond poorly to failure.
like i told her, who i am is a project. a constant one that even on the day i inevitably die, wont be complete. i seek to make it better, much better, happier if i can, and all around as complete as i CAN make it.
your death isnt getting any farther away so lets not face that like cowards but like heroes for lives that can be unnecessarily difficult.

heh.. waves back..
its a tragedy and a waste when people subscribe to the idea that messing up once is enough to give up or start over entirely. it can really send you spiraling cause we all know life isnt an upward slope
