mychem x batgirl and robin fancomic

i made a lil comic based on the stories my old boss used to tell me back when i used to live in jersey, about how he'd seen mychem play on basements and skateparks throughout the entire length of the shore, i used to go on about how he was the luckiest mf alive and he used to agree

then i kinda had this idea that..... gotham is on jersey, so there IS a jersey on the DC universe, and if thers a jersey, there SURELY is a frank iero, and if thers a frank iero, well, thers a my chemical romance too¡

the comic is kinda rushed tho i feel good about the panneling and the colour coding

i think cass would really find comfort on mychem, i think she would love the way gerard looks and try to dress and style her hair like them. I also think like she would love the sound and the words of mychem, she would REALLY understand bullets specifically, and i choose 03 because that really was a rough time for her. Hopeful words out of the mouth of a singer that writes such tormented lines would mean something to her, outside of how cool she thinks gerard looks and how she thinks she some what resembles him. I think that his energetic stage presence would also inspire her somehow, help her unravell.

i dont think tim would particularly love mychem, i see him more into the smashing pumpkings or Los Camp! later on, but i think he does love live music. The skatepark is more tim's than any other batman adjacent characters and it seemed like SUCH a fitting place for that first page. I think that taking cass there would help him associate her with normality too, we barely ever saw them hanging out outside the costumes.

and i think thats important, that cass expresses that she wants to attend one of those free concerts as HERSELF rather than lurking in the shadows. I think that, back in 03, that would have done tim good, too.

i really do have a lot of thoughts about mychem on gotham city¡
