As someone who has public accounts and has had social media for YEARS, why can I not attract good online friends? Literally every single one that I think ill be close with either ends up having a crush on me or is a terrible person (ex: racist, talks shit, any variant of negative phobic, abliest... ect.)
Literally I just want an online friend that will be JUST my friend
(ﾉД`) is it hard to be friends with people that have no crushes on me and aren't a terrible person plsplspls (ノ_･､)

I second watching what corner of the net you find new people. Try to avoid mainstream social medias, like Twitter. Insta is okay in certain circles - like the art community can be chill. Discord is a cesspit and should be avoided at all costs unless you're just using it to keep in touch with irl friends or friends you make on other platforms.
This site is pretty good, a lot of the folks I've met on here are solid people all around and very friendly. Honestly I stick to SpaceHey more than anywhere else because I've had better chances at making friends on here. If you happen to find any other places though, let me know! I've been looking for a good place to meet new people and share my art and poems to.

Be careful on what corner of the internet you are because I noticed the weirder the game can be, the weirder people it attracts
Like Touhou was always really questionable, but somewhere since the 2020's I can rarely find NEW Touhou friends that aren't weird about the characters
