!Spoilers for S1E6 of The Terror ahead!
Where is John Irving?
Our beautiful angel made a lasting first impression on us when at the start of the carnaval, but where was he during the rest of it? Not so far, in fact. See if you can spot him in the following screencaps!
For reference, this is who you'll be looking for:
Memorise his costume well, and you'll be ready to find him. It's not very hard :-)
Here's our first one. It's only a few seconds after your reference picture, can you see him?
Here he is! You can just barely spot him!
You can see him well in this next one (and a few of the next ones). He's listening to Captain very attentively.
Did you find him? The golden wings and front row position really give it away...
Still listening... Where is he?

Here's a nice view of everyone else's costumes. Can you find his?
Yep! Still right in the front of the crowd!
Everyone's a little out of focus now. Where is he?
Good job if you still managed to spot him. Wait, what's that happening behind him?
Something's caught everyone's attention! Including John Irving. Where is he now?
There, exactly!
A man is on fire now. Try to spot his hand if you like, but stay calm, John Irving is still here for you to spot.
Swiftly jumping into action, there's our angel!
Everybody's trying to get out now, no one else really wants to burn. In the chaos, it'll be much harder to find our guardian angel, but he's still there.
Way in the back now! You can reliably spot him thanks to his wings... It's a bit late to tell you that, though.
We've made it to the end and John Irving safely escaped the carnaval fire! Now he can enjoy a bit of warmth (from a safe distance) in the cold Arctic night.

oh my gosh sorry for the random comment but im highkey freaking out i saw ur profile on napoleonite and i HAD to find u on here cause its not very often i see other arctic exploration fans (OR terror fans..)
Hahaha no need to apologise for a comment, that's what they're for x-) I'm glad you found me. I never expected to see another polar fan on here!

you seem to be quite passionate about john irving... it was nice playing this game tho :) I don't know if you take suggestions but can you do one of cornelius hickey next time :D ? thank you in advance :3
Hey! You're right, I'm very passionate about John Irving. I do take requests, but not for him, because any enemy of my angel's is an enemy of mine. I hope you understand :-)

I have my values and you have yours. Put yourself in my place, and try to understand the suffering Cornelius Hickey has caused us Jirvers. You would want me to expose myself to him for hours to make your community happy? If your community is so desperate, maybe the problem is coming from inside and not from an innocent Jirv fan. Please try to understand!

let me be very clear, there's not even a single ounce of desperation in me. i came to you and simply ASKED you if you could make one of mr. hickey and you responded with reasons that I found not fair at all. i do have my values, but at least I'm not blinded by my obsession for a character that ends up becoming an angel quite fast. and by the way, i did put myself in your place, and i honestly feel like there's no reason for you to refuse this, it almost feels like you just want to disagree with me on this... you should get a grip and realize that maybe the problem is not coming from MY community, but YOURS who still haven't managed to get. over. it. hope your understand :3

You Cornelius Hickey fans are all the same, you really embody his egoism. His violence led the expedition to ruin and you want me to pay homage to him! I don't appreciate your response, had you been nicer I might have considered making one, but this has gone too far. Kindly take your request elsewhere.

woah there, seems like we finally see your true colors ! you make generalization saying we're all the same ?? so I was right !!! you refuse to do this JUST because you had some kind of sick experience with a hickey fan, THAT'S WHAT I CALL EGOISM, WHAT HE DID TO JOHN IRVING HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ALL OF THIS SITUATION WE ARE IN, again, YOU JUST WANT TO DISAGREE FOR NOTHING. He might have been violent, at least I AM aware that my character has flaws unlike some pretentious people who thinks their character is an angel sent by The Almighty himself. I was nice !!! I tried to respond calmly but your second response was a direct attack towards me. And don't you dare gaslight me, you were never going to make one, your wrath towards hickey honestly sickens me... at least he was able to give some kind of hope to the others, something john irving wasn't able to do. try to open your mind a little bit :3

Just to be clear, what Cornelius Hickey did to John Irving has all of its importance here. I clearly stated "any enemy of my angel's is an enemy of mine", and I do believe John Irving brought hope to some men on the ship. He even did so with a purer heart than that mutineer you hold so dear.
Regardless, I believe this has escalated further than what is healthy for the both of us. How about we make peace and find something to bond over? Like, I don't know, Francis Crozier? You don't dislike Francis Crozier too, do you?

calling cornelius hickey a "mutineer" then asking for peace is rather ironic, isn't it ? but I accept your excuses, thank you for apologizing and realizing you were out of the line <3 still don't appreciate the way you attacked my fav considering i've came to you with nothing but true and honest kindness :( and btw, I don't dislike john irving, I disliked your statements, and I do like francis crozier, no reason for me to "dislike" him, nor any other characters.

Is it ironic if it's simply the truth? I wish you'd realise that we are both in the wrong here, but I'm glad you came around to liking the good men of the expedition.

we're not talking about what's the truth or not here, you're sneaking in hateful comments and then asking for peace, that is what's ironic, controversial even. and i won't go as far to call them THE "good men", no one on that boat deserve to hold that title because none of them are worthy of it.
