I saw a tiktok video say "I went on SpaceHey to relive my childhood but there were so many minors on there!!"
Gang what did you expect? Honestly if you're like above 25 or trying to use this website as a dating app, then GENUINELY gtfo. Just like MySpace, this website is a safe area FOR teenagers so that THEY can socialize and have fun. Fro what I heard, MySpace kinda went to crap but that doesn't matter! All the more reason to keep this website PEDO free, and honestly adult free.
I am on here to make friends, not to talk to a random 30 year old who thinks they have a right to be on here simply because they used to have MySpace. You can't gatekeep a website thats free to everyone, and you definitely can't say "well we had it first" cause genuinely who cares?If it's making poeple happy then shut up and move on.
I add people without even looking at their profiles, only because i wanna add friends to my friends list, I am a teenager, and if you have a problem with that, suck my balls bro.
Also, again, this website is not a dating app so dont treat it like everyone you add is a potential match. Put in your "about me" that you're looking for a partner, and look for people YOUR age and with the same goal.

Kinda contradicting yourself saying it should be adult free (gatekeeping) and then tell others not to gatekeep.
Spacehey is made for users (as in everyone not just a group of ages; teens or adults).
Some people on here are creeps though. Don't have much information about myself on here, so I get em creeps occasionally too. Screaming around that you are a minor is the number 1 thing you shouldn't do on the internet, it attracts them even more.
It feels like teens these days are to comfortable on the internet, ya'll need to accept that no place on the internet is actually save. Not even youtube kids is save. The internet is not made for children, no matter how child friendly something looks. The internet would be Jimmy Saville if it was a person.
Okay yeah i kinda did contradict myself with that, what I mean is that MySpace back then was WAYY ore for teenagers than adults, and they had fun with it, now what I was expecting for Space Hey was for it to be mostly teenagers, the adults today had their time to have fun so they should be able to understand that we do need a place to socialize, again, I am 100% okay with young adults, and adults who aren't creeps, but i still think people should be mindful. Teenagers had tiktok, adults found and kinda tookover, teenagers HAD instagram, then they grew up and now theres less teens on there, same with facebook, its mostly older people. I know a lot of teens can agree when they say they want a nice little place for them just llike we used to have for tiktok or how millennials used to have with insta or facebook!

i do get the annoyance when it comes to that complaint - i get a bit annoyed too and still do even when im legally an adult now!! but, not gonna lie here i think youre matching up two kinds of adults on here and saying theyre the same. when most adults here complain about there being "too many minors" on here its not about online dating, its just about wanting to re-experience the experience they had on myspace with other people who resonates with that experience, which many minors wouldnt get
the main thing about spacehey isnt that its "for teenagers". the creation of spacehey is based on people gradually becoming disillusioned by how most other social medias operate due to how artificial and rotting, missing how you were more able to be expressive through customization and blogs, and most especially nostalgia. it just happens this website attracted many teenagers due to the rise of interest towards the 2000s
and about the "for teenagers" thing on my part - of course, the website is in a sense, "for teenagers" because its 13+. i just dont think its "for teenagers" in the sense that i dont think it was deliberated created to gravitate towards teenagers. sorry if i sound confusing

I'm 23 and I also thought it was more for teenagers, I just wanted to take a look, the blogs are cool. I was just hoping there were more German speakers here, because I never knew about the app hahaha
