Childhood memories

I was feeling kinda nostalgic today so I wanted to share here some of the things I enjoyed doing in my childhood

- First of all, as you can imagine, I really liked playing with toys/board games. Some of my favourite ones include: Tangram, Scrabble, Jenga Tetris, Domino Express, regular domino, trivial, backgammon, chess, Pictionary, etc. I also was obsessed at one point with doing jigsaw puzzles, in fact, I remember having the floor of my bedroom filled with 20 puzzles solved at the same time hahaha.

- If I had to choose some moments that could be defined as my moments of peak creativity I can come up with 3 examples: first of all, I created a lot of mini-golf courses in the porch with random objects from my house. I also remember that I didn't feel like going out on Halloween one year and instead I stayed at home doing Halloween-themed crafts to decorate my house, I mainly took the inspiration from magazines. And lastly, I remember getting for Christmas an Angry Birds board game to create your own level layouts but there were few structures for my liking so I decided to design my own Angry Birds levels using, once again, random objects from my house.

- Speaking of that, I was a huge fan of that franchise, in fact, I had 4 Angry Bird games in my tablet (standard, Rio, Space and Star Wars), other games I remember playing in my first tablet were Fruit Ninja, Pou, Cut The Rope and Where's My Water. To be fair, I wasn't much of a gamer in my childhood but I still have good memories playing Wii, DS and Oregon games, as well as playing a lot of random flash games, specially Spongebob and Super Mario related flash games. 

- The thing I remember doing the most in the childhood was watching cartoons, some of the ones I watched the most while growing up were: Spongebob, Penguins Of Madagascar, Shin Chan, Code Lyoko, Doraemon, The Pink Panther, Maya The Bee, Muzzy and Regular Show. The first one I remember watching was Maya The Bee back when I was 4 because my mom had all of the DVD's. My favourite cartoon back then was Spongebob but the one I see myself returning to the most as an adult would probably be The Pink Panther, I own a lot of DVD's of that cartoon as well and I have great memories watching them in my father's house and laughing a lot. 

- I've never been much into collecting stuff but when I was a child I remember collecting different things. For example, I used to collect different shiny objects I found such as medals, glitter, broochs, badges, etc. and putting them in a box that I still have so I could be doing it nowadays as well. Another thing I liked collecting where plushies and putting them together in the closet since I like creating my own stories with them. Back in the day I was a bit ashamed to admit that I enjoyed playing with them because of the stupid stereotype of "plushies and dolls are for girls while cars and weapons are for boys" but thankfully I don't have that mindset and I don't care about those stereotypes anymore. I also remember collecting crosswords magazines and other magazines of different word games. That's probably where my interest on Wordle games comes from hahaha.

- And lastly, I cannot forget about extracurricular activities since I was signed up to many of them: piano, musical language, choir, ceramics, painting, basketball, psicomotor development, timple, karate (I only lasted 1 day XD) and theater. I probably forgot some but those were the ones that came to mind.
