music streaming

i like streaming music, on my phone. i get to shuffle between different artists & records, which you dont really get with physical media. plus, i get to take my music anywhere which is another great benefit.

but, cause of that, ive lost a lot of the value in finding a new artist, and im less inclined to make the most of a record, cause i can just skip all the songs i dont like without thinking "this was a tenner for a cd, i cant just waste a song or two". so, i end up in an echo chamber of music i exclusively like. i think that sucks. and, its even harder to break past that, because to listen to something else, i dont even need to choose anything, or get up and change cds, or flip the record to the other side. i can just hit play on a playlist, and that's it. anybody else kinda... not like that?
