hello ^^! do research on what you want to represent! thats what i can definitely say, and this especially applies when you're representing sexualities and marginalized identities in stories, but also many other things as well. asexuality, and even to be aromantic, is a spectrum of level of attraction and manifestation of attraction that may not apply to everyone who labels themselves as ace, aro, or both. like for example, some who identity with the labels can experience little attraction while others may not experience any attraction at all. some can be repulsed to the idea of romance or sex, but others are not. and yes, some are willing to date while others not. i mean- even im putting it in simple terms. to decide on your decision, go to communities with aroace people who speak about their identity, their own experiences and how they feel about their own representation. get inspired to add more depth to their own sexuality and attraction (as in, being considerate of what they're supposed to represent)

but also, figuring out more of your story helps too. you dont have to immediately decide to ditch a concept or not, you can just let it exist in your notes as a "maybe" then decide more on it when you develop more of the story and do more research. goodluck!
