So the time was about 8 months ago now (wow the time really does fly) when my current study (lab technician) told me they didn't see me graduating with them anymore. As you can expect after putting 3 years into the field, it shook me hard.
So I had a lot of time to think about what I had to do then. Under the impression a laboratory study would never be for me and chemistry wouldn't be my thing I had to find something else to do. And then I remembered the time when I was first picking a study, how back then I wanted to do an art study but didn't because my family was really against it. I then decided I would want to start pursuing an art degree!
Long story short, my chemistry study eventually told me they changed their mind and I could go finish it all off and still get a degree with them, and since I was too late to start preparing for art school anyways I decided it would be good to just finish this off and get a degree in chemistry as lab technician. The 3 years I had already put into this would at least be put to good use.
So I went and researched what I needed to be accepted, I knew about needing a portfolio, but I didn't know where to start.
I stumbled upon a pre-studycourse for the art school within my city and that's how I ended up where I am now!
I've been going nearly every saturday from 10 till 4 and it's been so much fun!! The people are great and fun, the projects are pretty cool and it's giving me lots of inspiration to make art on my own time too.
Now I've also just got my own studio at a rental place and I'm really excited to start my journey!!
I will be documenting most of it (leaving out mostly personal details) and sharing it with you all.
thank you for tagging along
