perks of being a wallflower

Watched "Perks of Being a Wallflower" pretty recently with my boyfriend right after he sobbed about it, when he watched it by himself.

I loved the movie, I really did. I liked how it showed different kinds of "love" in romantic and platonic ways. And I also really liked how the movie kinda dropped hints of the aunt, and how it showed what happened to the main character with the aunt when she was alive.

I genuinely just like movies from the 2010s, since they were actually unique and not really repetitive.

Also, just learned that there is a book that the movie was based off of from the 1990s. Might have to look for it to be honest...

Im not saying this to stir up anything but i genuinly despise that movie (again not trying 2 be mean) i literally stopped at the halfway mark when he was standing outside in the snow or something.
The dialogue was really weird to me (saying this as someone who kind of liked juno and LOVED jeniffers body) i also found it weird how the love interest girl played by ema wattson immediately went to go tell her step brother when the main character told her his friend offed himself.

But thats just a nitpick. What rlly turned me off was that scene when they were in some kind of drag show or something and the like grown af drag queen gave the main character, who was a highschooler a lap dance, which weirded me tf out.

Anyway i have noo idea why people like this movie so much, its awful to me, but i dont hate anyone who likes it or anything lol

I even left a little note for the next person to borrow it from my schools library :P

oh em gee thanks!

I'm pretty sure most libraries would have a copy, and returning it in time wouldn't be an issue cause it only took me a few hours to read.

I have bought the book since I usually walk to the library. But since it is winter where I am in the world, I sadly cannot.

And no problemm <3
