☆BOOKS☆

(I might make this a reading blog. Archiving not only the books I've read, but essays and blogs too.)

CURRENTLY READING:

Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir

Reading the Silver Screen by Thomas C. Foster

Books I've read in the past:

  • J. D. Salinger — The Catcher in the Rye
-I've read it at 14 I think? One of the few books I actually fully read at that age. I liked it and considered it my favourite
  • Richard Bach — Jonathan Livingston Seagull
-Read it around the same age as the previous book. I think I liked it at the time

  • Kevin Mitnick — Ghost in the Wires
-Read only half the book, before the irreversable pee accident, also around the age 14-15. Bought a new copy in 2025. I liked it ALOT

2024:

  • Franz KafkaThe Metamorphosis
    -I still like this book

2025:

During summer, I made it my goal to read one book a month. Despite failing set goal, I'm still pround of the amount of books I've read. (For comparison I didn't read almost at all before that, and when I did. I did so, very sporadically).

I am not entirely sure in what order I read some of the books and when exactly I finished reading each book. But I don't think that it really matters much.

  1. Andrzej Sapkowski — The Witcher - The Last Wish

-I actually only read the second half of the book. Cuz I tried to read it in the past twice, only to abandon it during the exact same chapter each time. So this time I begun with said chapter and hold and behold it worked and I finally finished reading it. It was a ton of fun to read

  2.  Andrzej Sapkowski — The Witcher - Sword of destiny

    - Super fun books following Geralts adventures, exactly what I hoped for. The second book teases some plot which got me intrigued and made me motivated to continue reading the series. Yay Ciri yay yay yay !!

  3. Ernest Hemingway — The Old Man and the Sea

-An alright book, I think I enjoyed reading it even tho I knew what would happen, wish I didn't tho. I think it would've left a bigger impression on me

  4. John Steinbeck — Of Mice and Men

-I really enjoyed this story and the book

  5. Andrzej Sapkowski — The Witcher - Blood of Elves

    - The story is interesting but I found myself often feeling tired while reading it. The novelty of reading about Ciri kind of dissapeared. My favourite part was when Geralt, Triss and Ciri traveled togheter and the last chapter. (Backstory of how Ciri and Yennefer met)

  6. Mikael Ross — Der verkehrte Himmel (Comic)

-Fit this one in right before the end of the year!! :D The story rlly surprised me bcs I would've never guessed the plot based on the panels I saw at the gallery. (That's how I found out about this comic). The plot was fun and interesting I enjoyed the reading and the pictures as well :] Without spoiling anything the ending surprised me and left me wondering about Boa's whereabouts and overall health. You really feel like Tam does by the end of the comic I think.

2026:

Same challenge as last year, to read one book a month :] Borrowing books from library is my main motivator, bcs of the very real consequences of having to pay for late returns. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  1.  Émile Zola — Germinal
  2. Karel Čapek — R.U.R.
  3. Angela Y. Davis — Are Prisons Obsolete?

Books I'm planning to read:

  • Jack Kerouac — On the Road
  • Antoine de Saint-Exupéry — The Little Prince
  • others I stumble upon or something I find on my bookshelf

Books on my bookshelf:

Andrzej Sapkowski — The Witcher - Time of Contempt (I got it this Christmas :])

Kevin Mitnick — Ghost in the Wires

-I actually read more than a half of it ages ago, but my kitten peed on it after it fell under the bed. Only recently I got a new copy of the book

Bradford Morrow — The Forgers

-I was gifted this book for my birthday. I couldn't get myself to read the book and when I finally did I only read one chapter. I think I'm giving up reading this book for now

Charles Taylor — The Ethics of Authenticity

-Got this one fairly recently and it's one of those books you really have to pay close attention to all the time while reading it. So, this might be a tough one. I read a few pages or even a whole chapter but I want to give this one special attention. Maybe even take notes while reading. Needless to say I haven't read a book like this before

Some others, but idc abt reading them yet..
