any tips to be/look more emo?

I just like the emo sub-culture and id like tips to get started on it, any makeup dressing, idk, anything works and i know i dont have to look emo to be emo but i like the way they dress and the music so i might as well get started in the big 2026

My bf's emo and here's his tips:
Band tees, especially the ones with bigass cool graphics
Side bangs, teased on the back and dye them black
Dont use too much accessories (just a few bracelets, studed ones are the best)
Skinny jeans & knee high converse are the ultimate boss
Studded belts
Smidged eyeliner
And thats pretty much it
