love triangle, well unrequinted

Basically, I have a guy friend were going to call him Gideon, anyways, Gideon has recently decided to start his glow up and O M G! I can see the glow, like Christ. But his friend, lets call him Simon(these random names XD), we've had history and I want to pursue Gideon, but he's probably gonna say not because of Simon and I really need help DX!!! Should I confess or just get over it??
