I just can't understand people who like dark romance(???) Being kidnapped, having an extremely possesive partner, or having a stalker(as in most fanfics of this genre) is not cool and should not be romanticized. A former classmate of mine posted on Instagram that she would like to have a dark romance, but two years ago, she had a dark romance with her bf and she didn't like it at all, she doesn't even know what she's talking about -_-

The logic behind it is that it's a way to take power over traumatic things that have happened to you, HOWEVER if it's truly for trauma it should stay private and not be made into a whole book genre. I also feel like certain kinks just aren't healthy in the long run.
