Haiii!
As I say in my profile, I am an art student, and as such I completely HATE AI.
A couple of days ago (last day 17 December) I handed in my year-end work (so to speak, in baccalaureate, the degree I am in, we do from first to second before Christmas a theoretical/practical work on a topic to be chosen, we call it TdR or Work of Search, this work counts as another subject, more or less 20% of the final grade of the course).
Well, that being said, I can explain why I am bothered by the AI in all of this.
My work dealt with the question of: "Can you design an object from the Modernist movement?" , And so my work consisted of a theoretical part summarizing the context of 1880 and its aesthetics, then, the practical part was a notebook full of drawings of objects about the time, and then, my final design. After all that, an exhibition lasting 10 minutes.
In all my work I have not used AI, at any time, and that makes me proud, really, since most of my colleagues and even my teacher in charge of my job told me to do the summaries with AI, which was easier, which I did not.
To finish, I want to say that as a final note of the project I got an 8/10 (in tenths, an 8'18/10), which, after almost more than 1 year of work, seems very good note.
But here is the problem that I’m complaining about: those many people who told me to use IA: most of them have gotten a better grade than me, with worse jobs, since I, at 1 month from delivery, already had it all done, and they didn’t have a degree, and that makes me feel pretty bad.
More or less that’s it, if you have questions or want me to talk about something specific, please tell me :b

Yeah I get that, but I also believe that the value of creativity and original artworks is about to go up because of this phenomenon. You do have the better work because you actually know how to do it yourself, and that's that. Happens in my environment as well, while it is discouraging to see people that did half the work you did get a better mark than you, I think that in the long run they'll be held back in their artistic growth. The whole AI thing will die down when it actually starts having guidelines and gets out of the testing phase
Its nice to see someone with this same issue, hope IA gets a bit more banned from school and this kind of places, will help growth of th students
