The Pressure of the Screens!

Hey there, I'm v3vil, and this is my first blog.

I have always thought about how the world we live in now would look like if we never had abused technology so much.

I mean, as a 15-year-old teen, surrounded by social media, telephones, and more electronic devices, I find it very hard to focus on one single thing, while only thinking "why don't I watch TikTok", and then I end up scrolling until 1am, or "why hasn't my video blown up yet", you know, not having patience, or not being able to control this obsession.

In the 2010s, we weren't exposed to so many constant notifications or social pressures from apps like we are now. And don't get me wrong, tech has helped us immensely, I sometimes feel like we rely on it more than we need to, almost as if it shapes our thoughts and moods.

I know I was just like 5yo when I started seeing telephones, televisions developing, but now I notice how it has affected us. I would give anything to use the devices we used instead of only a phone full of stimuli, but I cannot afford to feel so away from everyone at the moment.

We can stop making use of these apps, like TikTok, YouTube, but we seem to be obligated somehow by society. For example, if you don't have social media, people call you a freak, or you might feel away from everyone because you're not like them. Basically social pressure.

I feel like there was a certain freedom back then, a slower pace where we could really enjoy one thing without thinking about what's trending or how others are watching us. This makes me want to reclaim some of that slowness and simplicity.

Maybe I have idealized this option of a "screen-free world", and the real problem is me. But I've got a feeling that tells me, get away, live your life fully, do what you want.

I'd like to connect my blog with the "Frugiter Aero" aesthetic, or the promised world, some people call it. As far as I've got to know with my own experience and with my research as well, it's a modern, developed, democratic, united, safe universe, that our nostalgic inner child created. There, people talk face to face, using their mouth, and not communicating by a keyboard. Where we all have the same freedom as the others, and the same worth.

Thank you for reading my blog, and I hope you have enjoyed it. I will do more blogs talking about the Frugiter Aero universe for sure.

If you have questions or recommendations, please write them down and I will be more than happy to answer you!

I think that the main thing that should've not happened was the introduction of smartphones (and laptops, even) as we know them today. Flip phones? I think they're okay. But the change from the Internet being on a fixed device from a mobile one is what (in my opinion) made us addicted, because once you stepped away from the family computer, you also stepped away from the internet, but nowadays that's not that simple anymore, unfortunately :/
