✮⋆˙ Analysis of ALL the Analog Horrors I've ever seen (I think)

haai welcome to my blog bleeehh

i don't know if i'll remember all the works ive seen on this theme, so this blog may undergo many changes!

Basiclly, I'm going to analyze them, which ones i like and which ones I HATE, and I'm not a critic of any kind, I just want to give my opinion shlsjhdjsajhdhjsdjx

☆ The Boiled One Phenomenon

Let's start with one that I really like. It is VERY well written, the story is engaging, and it actually scared me a few times, but that's more because of the voice, which already scores points for creating an atmosphere that leaves an impact on us. Doctornowhere did an impeccable job here, and contrary to what many people think, I don't think it needs an ending or anything like that. The story is already good with this air of mystery about what the creature REALLY is, so a sequel would be unnecessary.

☆ Vita Carnis
I confess that i don't remember much about this hjsadhjkdsajd but i still remember that it was goooood. the characteristics of the creatures in it were very creative, and the story unfolds well. I rlly don't know much to say about this kdsaljdldaljsdka. Maybe ill watch it again to add something more here later.

☆ Happy Meat Farms
Man, Happy Meat Farms is definitely good. The story about experiments turning humans into other animals (THAT WAS IT, WASN'T IT?? AHH I'M SO CONFUSED) is very interesting and makes me want to know more and more. Another thing to admire is the artwork, it really gives me the feeling of something grotesque and abnormal in the experiments, and that means a lot to me because it contributes greatly to the atmosphere that the horror wants to convey.

☆ UrbanSPOOK
GOD, THAT'S HORRIBLE! If I had to define it in one word, it would be “unnecessary.” When we talk about analog horror, most audiences DON'T WANT just violence and shocking content; that's not how you make something good. I believe that even in the most terrifying horror, there's a touch of humor that makes it better, y'know? Just terror and blood and tragedies thrown at us in the most grotesque way possible isn't going to be good, and that's EXACTLY (and only) what this work has. Man, the construction is just awful (it looks like a slideshow), the jump scares (I think it was supposed to be one?), the “story” (if you call gore and disgusting things a story, then there's something wrong with you), the characters! Seriously, that whole story about Corey and whatever else is just disgusting. I saw that recently the creator (who isn't the nicest person in the world, is he?) did something new with videos and a possible story, so I really hope that this time the work will have its redemption.

☆ Inside Out Tapes
Just stay away from it. Honestly, it's so ridiculous that i don't even think i'm going to waste my space here talking about it here. Just don't waste your time on it.

☆ GÜBY & Friends
I think this one is really good! I like the way it presents the information, i love these analog horrors where we have to find something in the smallest details, and i think that's what makes it interesting! The way GÜBY describes humans is cool in my opinion and open to interpretation. I like the line about “teeth” that he says, I don't know why, but it sounds cool asudysiaodshn. Also, I like the interpretation that GÜBY is an AI that got out of control, that's what I prefer to believe aosihdajshs

☆ Yuppy
It's pretty cool at times, but it's really VERY CONFUSING. You start by seeing a story about stuffed animals that are becoming popular and end up having creatures inside them, and it ends with “molecular tomb” or something like that. I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT a molecular tomb was before that, and now I think I know even less. I'm waiting for a sequel, because so far the story is proving to be good, and i really want to know the outcome of the missing children and what exactly all these creatures are.

☆ Angel Engine
y'know, the fact that it was made with the help of AI rlly bothers me, and it also seems that there are problems with Doctornowhere saying that he had an idea extremely similar to that of this work, but this specific case will not interfere much with my opinion (especially since this accusation cannot even be confirmed). So far, i am curious to see the continuation. I wasn't very excited before, but it definitely had potential, and now look! It's building a good story. I liked Geoff's punishment and how things are escalating for this new angel and the mysterious savior. Man, the series' potential grows with each new sequel, and I'm really looking forward to finding out more!

☆ The Mandela Catalogue
I don't rlly like to talk about this one since there were some problems with the production and stuff, and most people i know who also like it don't usully mention it much, so that's why it's so low on the list. I must admit that it's rlly a very good work. I like the initial story about Gabriel and everything, but at a certain point the story starts to get confusing, but it's still entertaining. It was one of, if not the first, analog horrors i ever saw, and man, it kept me awake for days! I immediately decided i needed to see more stuff like that. Also, i like how it made the genre grow, because it's not a bad work, it's just... I think it's just not as talked about as it used to be, and that's completely normal. And the fandom makes everything better jhsjdfouejhxjkkkd (Adam que odeia a Wepink eu te amo). Anyway, it has a place in my heart.

☆ Boisvert
This is definitely one of my favorites! It rlly took me a lot of thought and interpretation to understand it. In my opinion, some moments in the work can portray depression, isolation, and loneliness (especially with Room's lines in “Take Care”). The fact that analog horror began around 2020 only reinforces this hypothesis, as it was a very popular theme at the time. It's rlly fun to spend a few minutes thinking about each video you've seen, and it's very well done! It's satisfying to watch because it's all so beautiful. I highly recommend it!

☆ E.L.B.E.R.R
I really liked this one, but it made me a little angry at the protagonist. HE HIMSELF attributed epistemic logic to the robot, and in the TESTS he placed all those testing tools NEXT TO Elberr, which made the robot use its learning tool to its advantage and complete its plan early on. As soon as he noticed those flaws in the robot, he shouldn't have continued. But, on the other hand, I think this is very real. I have no doubt that at some point this will happen in the real world. Just like in a work of fiction, the creation itself will end up annihilating the creator, which is no different from what we are experiencing today. It's a little despairing for me, but if the warnings aren't heard early on, who knows now? Oh, and the animation is wonderful (yes, I'll say things about animation or art whenever necessary sjhsdcxk)! Anyway, I really liked it and it's a good one to watch.
