I never used MySpace, but did use Facebook back in the day when it was required to have an university email address to login. I am a fan of web 2.0, before Google and other giant corporations existed and took over the Internet overall. Luckily I found Neocities and Nekoweb to view those type of websites again.
I can't remember how I stumbled on SpaceHey though, but I like how it works as well for the nostalgia feel. I read that it doesn't "spy" on you, with algorithms and such.
So I created my SpaceHey website and I am starting to think of updating at least weekly, but I can't stop thinking that... maybe I am too old for this? I only seem to find young people using SpaceHey, which is fine, but I wonder if people over 30 or 40 years old are also here?

There are few older people on here, I saw one IT guy in his 40s or so, just like you, I can't remember his username sadly, but generally you're right, most users are kids either young adults and you probably won't have anything to talk about with them. The website has no ads, algorithms or other bs, people post whatever they feel like and you can read it. There are topics in the blog section, so you narrow out what you'd like to read.
By the way keep it in mind that some people add you just for the sake of it and they probably won't interact with you.
I would say it is worth for you to give it a try at least, settle in :)
