homework is bad for teens mental health

homework isn't helping teens learn material. its a big part of the reason why kids are struggling so much in school. most teens already have a packed schedule. they go to school all day to come home and do chores, maybe take care of little siblings or pets, maybe they have a job, extra curriculars, or maybe they just have to go somewhere with their parents. and they still need to find time to eat, shower, use the bathroom, and sleep. and then teachers think it's a great idea to assign you homework that will take another couple of hours. and they're expected to do all of this and be happy and pass all their classes. i'm so sick of having like 5 assignments due every fucking day. and going to an art school makes it worse because now i have 9 different classes, and most of them assign homework.  homework should only be things that weren't finished in class, or things you also give class time to do. get me out of this stinky ass school brah ToT
