I forgot to post it here when it happened but I've had a proper new laptop for about a month since my old one shit itself, I wrote a whole editorial about it on my site, so just gonna link it instead of describing everything in here.
Final laptop update (I did about a month ago but forgot to post here)

Damn man, I am sorry about that.
It is crazy how those laptops only lasted a few years and my Dell Latitude E6420 I use on a daily basis is nearly 13 and a half years old, and still going strong despite a hard drive upgrade, and being mangled by having a cracked screen and missing screws, but it still worked and had an i7 so I refused to throw it away, and turned it into a desktop.
I am sure it has been through a lot. I got it shortly after my phone broke, but on October 30, 2024, and got the laptop on November 1, 2024, along with a Dell Latitude D620 that ran Windows Vista.
It still works despite the screen being mangled and missing screws like I said, but now it has a powerful Core i7 at 2.8GHz, 8GB RAM, and replaced a 160GB HDD with a 500GB HDD and it is running like a charm!
Even my Alpha-Top Jetbook from 1996 still works after nearly 30 years!
