social media killed romance

social media killed romance and it shows. i never had a relationship and i will wait until the right time comes, no need to rush. but i noticed that some friends of mine are really desperate to find a partner. every time they get a crush on someone the first thing they do is “stalk” their social media, checking their tiktok reposts and instagram highlights. if there’s something they don’t like or agree with they instantly “sort them out” basically forgetting about them without even have talked to them

i just think its really weird to judge someone by their social media accounts alone, you don’t even try to get to know them personally -_-

idk if its just me being sensitive again but i think its weird

I agree...I never really looked for partners, they kinda just spawn in for me eventually... I mean I met my lovely boyfriend on Roblox...ROBLOX!... yeah I know its crazy but he's so perfect for me omg I love him so much.

Maby its bcs im still young and havnt rlly been out in the real world but i do feel technology has effected romance drastically. Boys dont stand outside your window with a boom box anymore or send love letters, ik it sould cliche but its cute. And yeah theres deffinitly a handful of relationships that still hold that magic but it feels with dateing apps now its become more or a booty call and just very artificial.
