1975

I watched a new documentary on Netflix about 1975 and the film industry. It was really good and talked about not only the new Hollywood movies that came out that year but some of the political context surrounding the year that influenced the films that came out at that time. It was enlightening, but also alarmingly similar to today's time. I swear I kept thinking that 1975 and 2025 really were the same year just with different clothes and better movies. A lot of the same political and social issues were going on, like we as a society really like to argue about the same things. Its not even beating a dead horse at this point, its digging up its bones or kicking up its ashes. Its a good film though, abd makes me want to watch more of those old movies. Ive only seen network and jaws, which were two movies showcased in the documentary. I like docs, hopefully I can find more cool ones like this one.
