I went to the community garage sale again! Since it's december 20 there were a lot of people selling stuff and a lot of people buying and scouring for secondhand finds. Most of the stands this time were selling toys, understandable given the season.
My mother and I don't celebrate christmas and I have no friends in real life who do (I have no friends in real life period >﹏<) so I didn't really go with the intention of gift shopping. Though I did buy my mother some stuff. A very pretty pair of earrings, and a shirt that she didn't really like... :( it's hard to buy clothes for her. What do you buy for a 50 year old who says she still feels 25? It's okay though. If she decides she doesn't want the shirt, I'll see how it fits me and if I wanna keep it. If not, I'll give it to my grandma ^_^
Anyway! Here's what I got for myself. It's not much. The eccentric jewelry lady with blue eyes was there again so I hit up her stand, and to my delight some of the jewelry I decided to leave behind last time was still there! Including...

This locket charm bracelet!! I don't really like that it's a bracelet because the charms are so big and heavy. Plus this thing is huge on me because I have MINUSCULE WRISTS!!! >:o( So i'm planning on turning it into a necklace. As you can see it has plenty of chain so it will be easy. I don't know what to put in the locket. I'm thinking a picture of my best friend so I can carry him around even though we live thousands of miles apart. Maybe I could also put a guy from a band I like there too, hehe. Maybe a picture of my cat? We'll see!!
Next up, these earrings!! Yes I know the one on the right is missing a bead. I don't care!! I will still wear them with joy and pride.
That's all I bought from that lady. I looked over to the right, and, on a stand nearby, I spotted...

THIS BEAUTY!!!!
It's a necklace, the chain is pretty boring so I just photographed the pendant so you could properly see it. Look at all the pretty crystals :o) I'm sure they're fake but they're still very pretty.
Anyway that's all! Significantly less finds than last time (I was really hoping to find a brown leather belt but I didn't... Not even the leatherworkers at the plaza had them in my size! So sad...) but still good finds. I'm focusing more on getting accessories anyway because they really elevate any outfit, especially when I live in such a hot place and layering is simply not an option to make outfits more interesting.

Sounds fun :) I shop second-hand mostly out of environmental principle (the world really doesn't need us producing more stuff) but also because it's cheap and I like retro/vintage things anyway. TBH I never had anything with a locket. Maybe I will have to find one
add!
