I know the title sounds a little funny, but it's the truest way to explain how I feel. I have the biggest crush on my boyfriend, even after six months together. I still get butterflies every time I'm around him--which is basically every day, since we live together. I catch myself staring at him when he's not looking, and I drift off thinking about our future more often than I probably should.
He's everything I ever asked the universe for and somehow so much more. He doesn't know it, but he was every single birthday candle I blew out, every shooting star I wished upon, every wishbone I broke, every penny I tossed into a fountain. Loving him has softened the way I see the world even more. He makes me want to grow, to try, and to be better. He pushes me to try new things, even if I oppose to them at first, and he reminds me to keep my heart open.
I love him in a way that feels full and overwhelming in the best way. Writing about him always makes me emotional--like my heart spills out faster than I can keep up with it. I truly hope that one day soon I'll see him down on one knee, asking me to spend the rest of my life with him--because I knew from our very first date that he was going to be my everything for the rest of my life.

this is SO CUTE and i feel the same way. ive been with my bf for 11 years and i still sometimes get hit with how much i love him, the butterflies come back and it feels new and exciting again :3

i will say that after so long you start to settle into a comfortable sort of... i wont say "monotony" because it isn't that, but it just feels normal most of the time, less exciting but still very good. the best part is as we change, find new interests and new things about ourselves and each other, it becomes exciting again for a while, then settles again. it happens in waves. love is such a beautiful thing <333
