After finding out about all the bad stuff the spotify CEO is doing, i really wanna drop spotify. In the ideal world id replace it with a big ol CD collection and walkmans and ipods and such, but that stuff is kinda expensive im realizing.
Anyways on top of that ive been wanting to be like less of an over-consumer, and ive been trying to thrift more, and use less tech. Thats why i joined spacehey- its like very 2000s vibes and i wanted to connect with more people that wanna do the same kinda stuff im doing. Im also pretty new so i want some like tips and tricks lol

Get a mp3 player. That's the only investment ya gotta make to have your music. It's better than spotify by a million.
You can download your music from youtube as mp3 files. And then just pull them onto the mp3 player.
Unlike sp*tify you have full control. Like shuffle and everything. You only hear what you want. No ads, no spending money.
mp3 players aren't that expensive either depending on what mp3 player you take.
I am glad I dropped Spotify back in 2020.

+1 to this. also, SoulSeek is a really easy way to download mp3 files en masse. though to make sure i'm always supporting the artist, I try to only download albums that I've already purchased a cd of. definitely feels better than spotify!!
