why was i born inherently alienated

i think being neurodivergent in any form sentences you to a life of nothing but loneliness and sorrow. ive never had a real friend, i've just been a placeholder. somebody to talk to when it's convenient or when you want to unload something, but never the one chosen to meet up. never the one chosen to hang out, or have fun, or do literally anything other than a surface level accusation. friend groups make me so violently jealous because i want that. i feel like im not allowed to exist in proximity to anybody "normal". is there some invisible sign over my head saying "alienate this person and make sure they feel inhuman"? because everyone sure does that. they talk to me like im a stray dog or a lost kid theyre only interacting with for appearances. i feel subhuman every time i try to make a friend because i know they secretly find me a nuisance and a waste of time and a loser who shouldnt even try to exist around the good, normal people.

i want to know what a friend feels like

Well, I don't think that's entirely true. It's very likely you've run into the wrong people, but I also know that feeling you're describing, and it's awful to feel like there's something wrong with you.

There are many people in this world who can surely understand you, appreciate you, and be there for you when you need them.

Remember, there's nothing wrong with you. I'm sure you're a wonderful person. Besides, nobody is "abnormal." Everyone is different, with their own tastes, their own personality, their own way of being.

You're not the problem

honestly i think neurodivergent people are much smarter and that’s why the people considered “normal” can’t get us because they’re fucking stupid. have you ever heard “normal” people’s conversations?
